Our take
I’ve used the CDJ-3000 in clubs, and it’s a beast. The Rekordbox integration is seamless, and the high-res audio makes a noticeable difference on big sound systems. The 8 pads are responsive and nicely placed for hot cues and loops. That said, it’s still a single-deck unit—if you’re not in a setup with a matching CDJ or turntable, you’ll need to buy two. And $2,500 each adds up quickly. It’s also pretty heavy and takes up rack space. For a mobile DJ, it might be overkill. But for a flagship club player, it delivers on sound quality and reliability. Just know what you’re getting into financially.
